That’s according to the U.S. Census Bureau, which estimates Phoenix has been a popular relocation destination not only for Californians but all Americans between 2017 and 2021.

Roughly 64,000 Californians moved to Arizona annually during 2017-2021.Arizona was the second-most popular destination for about 74,000 California residents, according to the US Census Bureau.

More than half of California residents have considered packing up and moving out of state within the last year, and 63% of them have considered Arizona.
