It has always been SafeWay Moving & Storage’s mission to strive to be the best. This means hiring the best crew, giving them the tools and moving equipment they need to make the job go faster, keeping trucks looking like new and, of course, maintaining the best possible customer service satisfaction and status as the top mover in Orange County.

The moving and storage company was founded in 2007 by Mike Marquez, who has worked in the industry since 1984. He was employed at three major carrier van lines over the years and worked his way up, learning along the way. Opportunities began to present themselves. Mike bought his first truck, a brand-new Bobtail, while out on the road.

Like many people, Mike dreamed of being his own boss someday. Even though he’s changed his job title, from worker to employer, one thing remains constant. “You’re always learning in this business,” he said.

SafeWay is a family company, with Mike’s brother Roy in sales, his daughter Renay leading the in-house activities and his son Michael Jr. learning the ropes at SafeWay after working in self-storage management earlier in his career.
